Nothing ridiculous about it. The fact of the matter is we cannot do anything about anyone who wants to disrupt our orbital assets except to watch and maybe do the same to theirs. So there is literally no point to a Space Force. Not to mention, one of the things discussed is to have people trained to operate in an orbital environment. So trained, but no way to put them there on anything like a short notice. But hey, they have designs for uniforms! And a contest for picking the logo! Along with a pitch for campaign donations... Which seems to be the goal. It is Trump raising money that he can funnel into his own pockets. The man tries to monetize everything.
