Now you guys have me reading Badel discussion of soverign debt risk lol. More due to guy commenting on US local banks replacing Fed at no capital cost (he ignored funding cost - big error imho). Data is old but banks not a big player in US either.

There are several major European banks with major exposure to Turkey, BNP Paribas, Unicredit BBVA......

One of the banks owns 50% of a Turkish Banks........ no there is hell to pay with this currency
crisis.... and the emerging market contagion.......
