The trade deficit is caused by Americans buying more than we sell to foreign countries. It's not caused by trade agreements or them putting tariffs on us. If it were Trump would have used the WTO to get legal cases against those tariffs. Are "you" still with me? Besides, trade as a % of GDP has increased since NAFTA which proves you're simply making things up. If trade fell after the trade agreements, you might have a point (that you'd have to prove), but the opposite happened. Trade is growing. The trade agreements have a weapon within them that can be used against any country that breaks the agreement. Why didn't Trump use it? Because he's a moron and so are his supporters. Did Trump's tariffs result in China putting tariffs on US goods that are now devastating the US economy? Yes, farmers will go bankrupt and each bankruptcy will put more strain on our already strained banking system which is highly dependent on government debt (tax cuts). Nine out of ten dollars in this last quarter came from government debt, not growth. What do you know about Harley Davidson? From what you wrote you don't seem to know anything. They tell us the old farts who used to buy their loud and obnoxious bikes are dying off and younger farts are not buying their disgustingly loud bikes. Harley Davidson also tells us the European market is growing and it makes sense to build in the EU since they can avoid the tariffs caused by Trump. What Trump says is always irrelevant. He's lied thousands of times since he's been in office and the people who voted for him are very, very sick people. They know he lies and they defend his lies. Who does that? Not a normal person.
