Extrait du dernier Stockwatch Gold Summary:

David Lotan and Mike Basha's Aurion Resources Inc. ( AU), down six cents to 94 cents on 156,000 shares, has completed 14 holes spanning 2,500 metres so far at its Aamurusko project in northern Finland. The work is part of an $8-million program this year that will include 15,000 metres of drilling along with the usual preliminary geological, geophysical and geochemical work. One rig is currently operating; Mr. Basha, president and chief executive officer, says a second will start work "in the coming days." Aurion is testing two targets on the project, A2 and Aamurusko Northwest, where it has previously encountered high-grade gold assays.

Eight of the current holes have tested Aamurusko Northwest, which lies at the northwestern end of the Aamurusko boulder field. The company previously collected 187 rock chip samples of those boulders across an area 400 metres long and 275 metres wide, and they averaged 14.2 grams of gold per tonne, with individual samples yielding up to 404 grams per tonne. Drill core assays are pending. At A2, Aurion says that drilling will commence shortly: perhaps in the coming days once the second drill arrives. A2, 850 metres to 1,500 metres north of Aamurusko, produced assays averaging nearly 60 grams per tonne from 52 outcrop chip samples.

Mr. Basha, of St. John's, has been president and CEO since 2008. Last year he received a salary of $170,000 and an appreciative board granted him a $220,000 cash bonus. To start 2018, the company also gave him a raise, to $200,000 per year. Mr. Lotan, a significant shareholder, became non-executive chairman last year -- non-executive being a synonym for "unpaid."
