Mark sez: Went back again to 1984 (that is 16 38-week cycles) 15 of the 16 cycles had the XAU increasing in the first half of the 38 week cycle. And the one that didn't only went down slightly.
We are now 2 weeks into the 2nd 38 week cycle of the 114 week cycle.
I feel very good that for the next 16-17 weeks the XAU should be going up.

Ole--

From Rainsford at Astrikos:

Thursday, January 15th
Today, at 2:41pm(est), the Sun in Capricorn
forms a waning semi-sextile with Jupiter in
Aquarius. This is the major aspect of the day,
and it sets up a very interesting situation in the
first-trade chart of COMEX GOLD (chart coming
soon). The Sun/Jupiter semi-sextile can be
likened to the Sun being in a twelth house
relationship with Jupiter. This is the time to clear
away all the old business, and get ready for the
new annual cycle which will begin next month.
This aspect is almost exactly conjunct the
Jupiter and Midheaven midpoint in the COMEX
GOLD first-trade chart. This would tend to
indicate success and good fortune in new
opportunities. Gold is usually thought of as an
inflation hedge, but let's not forget that it is also
a disaster hedge. And with the Asian crises
looming ever large, this might be an excellent
time to look at gold again.

We shall see...
