Do the 'Cides Work?

I have every confidence that the 'cides have been made to work for both herpes (HSV-1, HSV-2, VZA) and the flu. Granted, not every drug candidate that the company has tested has worked, and not every viricide pursued was successful, but that's the nature of research. For instance, it is not at all clear that any of their attempts at ebola worked. But I think Zika and West Nile would not be that hard to make happen (due to their similarity to other viruses within reach) if they only had the money and focus left to pursue them. But it appears they are lacking in both today just in pursuing the monetization of drugs for herpes and the flu.

I'm convinced that the company definitely has found drug candidates that work, and there is a very high probability that they will work in humans both safely and effectively.

The concerns are more along the lines of the profits and losses due to production and licensing expenses and issues. It would also be nice to see a management team that demonstrates they have the common shareholders' interests in mind and can execute a business plan to a schedule that works for the shareholders.
