Andreas, The leptin signalling deal is more of a "research" alliance and I would expect development time to be several years. Control (agonists and antagonists) of leptin signaling has many potential applications. It will be interesting to see how broad or narrow the deal is. Bernie did suggest that LGND does have a solid fall back position and I also would like to see another partner for long term development (but I'm also curious about the identity of the current pharma under consideration).
