To everyone who visits and those who are regulars too, I want to say something about one of the devil's favorite and highly successful ploys to keep people away from Jesus. First understand that when a person is born again and accepts Jesus as Savior it is a spiritual transformation that takes place. We are then sealed by the Holy Spirit as a promise. Consider what we were saved from. A state of sin. This state of sin is a state of being, not the acts of being sinful (things we do that we call sin, stealing, lying). When we have a cold and cough we don't call the cough a cold because it is only a symtom of the state of having a cold. If we have a cold we cough, when we are in a state of sin we steal, lie. So then we are saved from the state of sin and sealed, but the flesh profits nothing from this!! As the word says we are still in "this body of sin". So then every christian is thrust into conflict with his/her body of sin as sin tries to rule through the body and righteousness through the Holy Spirit. So as a result of this conflict christians are seen coughing, sometimes manifesting symtoms of sin that still struggles to rule through our flesh. Now the devil has been very clever and used this to alienate hords of non-believers who see the outward sign, "coughing", when the "body of sin" gains a temporary advantage. The devil says look at him, he is sinning and he's a christian, dripping with sarcasm. People are put off by this outward sign of what they think is hypocrisy not understanding the meaning of what they see and the underlying struggle. This successfully keeps a lot of people from going to church and being saved. If we could look at our brothers and understand the struggle (and maybe they are losing the struggle at that particular time) we would have more compassion. We have to be overwhelmingly grateful to the Lord for our forgiveness in the face of our unworthiness. Now what about the ones who give in to the sin and quit for a time to struggle sincerely against the "body of sin". Well first there is grace but after a time discipline by the Lord. God says he will not be mocked (by those who use His grace as a liscense to sin). Whatever we sow we will also reap (in this life). So God's judgement is just. We all suffer loss for our deeds now if our deeds are sin and we do not repent, but in the next life salvation with our Lord. The devil's schemes are many and some are tailored for the masses and some for individuals. That schemer hates to see any slip from his grasp and he has the full court press on to anyone who is getting close to turn them back from Jesus and His salvation. How can anyone be saved? Romans 10: 8-13 8 "But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"- that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, 9 that is if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved, 10 for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 11 For the scripture says, "WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED". 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call upon Him; 13 for,"WHOEVER WILL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED". Apparently something went on last year worse than this. That's something I must check out. I am curious whether the guylast year was wounded superficially or mortally. I don't think any person can drive anyone away from the Lord. The problem,, and that is big, big PROBLEM, is a root of bitterness sets us all perfectly in place, much like players in a film the devil directs, for the other actors the devil has waiting for just such a moment. That's the problem. How many years does it take to get out of serious backsliding. I knew one who couldn't ever shake going back to his vomit and finally drowned in a lake in Alaska. I actually thought it was a good thing because I sure know who was on his mind as he was flat-lining in the water, so, sometimes it can be very serious. I think just maybe there might be tiny tie in there with millstones around the neck. Who knows. I sure want to see more people I led to Heaven than take the judgment for those I ended up helping the Lord lose forever. If that is possible. Who knows, maybe it isn't. There are many, many of these things I haven't figured out. I only know Jesus means peace joy love and happiness for the majority of one's waking moments, in spite of fire, flood, famine or hurricane, death diseaseee and whatever else. Absence of Him usually means that people stay happy until their drug or alcohol problem is so acute it terminates their lives in one way or another and they move down the ladder to the next step. There just has been enough of a correlation that it has proven itself to me without a doubt. That alone should be proof enough of the existence of God, but of course it doesn't. It is also the rythym of the posts of the attacks. Viscous attack. A couple more. A sudden softening of posture and a hint of feeling of vague correction or apology. No more than two of those, followed by an even more insane out of the blue attack, and that is what disturbed me. I felt Alan was being assailed by demons more than being instructed in the Holy Spirit, and this could have all been used in the hands of a true saint as St. Francis laboratory for producing a great Jewish saint. BUT NOOOOoooooooooooooooo, we get too anglo-overloads, and I do understand that and rather am proud of my own anglo thing, who truly have received much doctrine from Hitler. My hatred of Hitler is second to my hatred of Stalin. On earth there is no man with more blood dripping off his lips than Stalin. A monster of horrifying magnitude, who many Emile rails about still worship, and this of course grieves me to the core. As I'm sure the Stalin cult of worship is being revived in campuses across America as we speak and as the whole world shifts back into position. But Hitler runs such a close second. Such a bucket of filth he was, and adored by a whole nation of idiot Germans, which I have only within the mellowing years that do us such good have been able to see without a nazi flag in their hands. I agree with Alan on every point. In the first place, re-read Alan and their never was a point. His point was this was hardly the place to find two or three men Jew-bashing openly, and it was becoming that. Again, from Emile's knowledge of some evil, which now is in his mind the only evil, and there is nothing but good non-Jews on earth at this moment in his mind--ALL POTENTIAL NEW COVENANT GENTILE CHRISTIANS OF COURSE. So unbalanced Bob. And now I will confess to you that in Nancy and my email Nancy bemoaned yet another Emile joining the attack on Alan, and how was he going to fight off many more, and I rather agreed, because I thought maybe Emile had actually recruited you and Chris, especially CHris, for some reason, to now join SI and post on Ask God as a casual observer, when actually you both seemed to me to be other neo-nazi doctrine types. This is a true statement. That is how crazy writing words on a screen can get. It can get real crazy, and who takes the blame? The Lord Jesus Christ. Satan then screams See! See! I told you to hate Him! Follow me, because I love everybody and will let you do anything evil and will never judge you!! Serious, serious stuff.
