I used to know a sailor in Salinas, Puerto Rico, that used to cross dress. I thought his legs looked funny hanging out of a dress. Last time I bumped into him he was in a bar in Culibra, Puerto Rico maybe 3 or 4 years ago. I believed he move his boat over to that island. He was a Brit, or at least sounded like one. He had good sailor skills, I remember one time when he arrested a boat in Salinas bay that had dragged its anchor and was drifting toward the main dock. Saved a lot of people grief with that effort.

Dan,

You are just way ahead of the curve. I share your disdain for those platforms as well. I did use Twitter quite a bit in the last election cycle. The unfortunate aspect is that those platforms have positioned themselves as a utility and are denying access to certain vendors based on their perspective. I guess I wouldn't have a problem with that except they don't deny access equally. Different rules for left and right. Many folks have become accustomed to getting their feeds from those feeds instead of directly from their website. Sharing then also becomes problematic.

I exchanged my Iphone for Samsung and thin it is faster and overall superior. For some of the activities I participated in, I needed to use Twitter, FB, etc in order to get updates. I also have friends from all over the world and FB makes it easy to stay in contact although i don't go there very often.

Agree about FB, Instagram etc - never used them. But Twitter is a different animal. It has become the primary source of ‘real’ news. Print media is obsolete and the rare good pieces of journalism are posted on Twitter.

Cable News is mostly entertainment/propaganda and Trump rallies are about the only things worth watching on TV.

If Jack Dorsey is smart/Independent he would move away from lefty bias as Twitter could well become the 900 lb gorilla.
