Ray, Nice find. I've always had a hard time believing that discussion groups on the net had much effect on a stock. However, I guess if the float is small enough, it could be the case. Anyway, it was nice to see VS specifically mentioned as being irresponsible with his postings. Thanks, Lew

This medium never ceases to amaze me. So VALUESPEC (is it landscaper or stock analyst) can waltz around the Net and, depending on his position, try to create fear or hype a stock at the expense of long term investors and walk away with his quick buck. Hope to read about guys like this getting their just due from the SEC. Anything we can do to help this guy meet his fate?

Ray and Mark, Good finds. Miller made a good suggestion about reporting Spec to the webmistress which I have done. SI has a great reputation and I can't imagine that they would let this person remain. Bill

See post 466 on STAX on SI. This is a very interesting discussion on shorting stocks and a way to put a crimp in those who do so to manipulate the market. I f you who are more market savy than I find this to be credible then perhaps a discussion should ensue as to whether or not we should take this approach as we prepare for NASDAQ or hold it in reserve for later use to defend the stock.
