I know about that nervous feeling

I took a 1K profit on AMD, that leaves me long only on ORCL.
My Treasuries are up about 4%. I'm sitting on short profits.

All I can say on Novonyx is your intuition is usually pretty good. We know nothing happens at Novell usually except as a reaction to something. However in this case I think the logic of the situation may be on the shareholders side.

==================
Watch the Nikkei. If it moves below 14000 then the Japanese banks have no more capital. A wave of defaults would then spread to markets here. If that doesn't happen then its the slowing of the economy. For example Intel has 25% of its revenue coming from Asia. That Asian revenue declined buy 10% in Q4. Technology stocks are very exposed and will be in this quarter. Then comes the effect on the rust belt via the Jap & Korea auto exports. This just means no or slow growth for a few quarters. However then you look at market caps and you have real the reason to worry.

Hi Joe - Update on Novonyx...

"....Levitt said he wonders why Novell would fix something that's not broken. "The project was succeeding," he said. "It would not make sense to change what works..."
