I'm not a monolithic voter. I place a higher priority on voting for someone who will defend the US and put Americans First, as well as a very high priority over not voting for a known criminal like Hillary. Those priorities trumped my knowledge of Trump being an easy fiscal and monetary guy. If I never voted for someone who went against one of my political positions, then I'd end up never voting. We all make compromises. When I voted for Obama, I knew I was getting a liberal, but I thought it was important to vote for the guy that said we'd get our of the Middle East. He lied about that, but I compromised my economics opinions to vote for Obama. Turns out, all I got was hope, but very little change from the Bush Jr days.

I would have preferred Romney, Ron Paul, or Rand Paul, but I got Trump. It is what it is. It says nothing about my steadfast fiscal and monetary conservatism. One thing for damned sure is that I would have NEVER voted for Hillary.
