Dave,

I was wondering if you've been able to give your IL/ACT skills some practice by applying the technique to GTAX. I find that the IL is in place but the ACT is not yet completely defined (the second point in its construction is not confirmed). Considering that the dynamic is most reliable when the two are parallel, I find that the ACT is just about ready to set in. Given that possibility, the stratospheric run to the IL lies ahead. Give it a shot and let me know what you think.

Also, remember that a close ON the ACT for RADAF would not be a very positive event. At this point, extreme accuracy is required when constructing it.

Dave,

I am long MRK. What does *MRK just completed a sell sequential* mean? Should I be selling MRK?

TIA,
Dennis

Dave,

You may have to go back to MRK. What day do you have as the intersection?

Dave:

I haven't bought DeMark yet (I lose 1/2 my day to this game as it is), but I agree in principle with:
"I've been finding a lot more potential sell sequentials than buys."
We're in the aftershock of the fourth-highest point loss in the Dow's history, and the market, which tried its best to rally is showing nothing but sluggishness. The divergence between the NAZ and the DOW can only be temporary. Sooner or later, either the Dow's gotta rise, or the NAZ has to plummet. I think the latter will happen. What I've been seeing this week is what I'm tempted call a RIP: Rally Into Putrefaction.

Ivan
PS: Ever the dreamer, I keep waiting for SEEQ to show some MEEP pattern for me to act on, but it's just stairstep down with such a steady downtrend, there's just no break to get in on.

Dave,

Pulled off this a list you plopped down a few weeks ago. Just noticed that the massive trendline running down from the peaks of 1/92 and 1/97 is JUST about to hit again. What is it with these people and Januaries? I'd think that substandard canned vegetables and grotty bags of freeze-dried shoestring potatoes would run fairly consistent month to month.

Ivan

PS: Can't calculate the numbers exactly. Would appreciate it if you ran it through your vegematic. Noticed that you and Doug tend to come up with exactly the same exact numbers. Is that Parity?
