Valueman, the subsidiary is Orbitel, which was fully bought by Ericsson 18 months ago at which time Ericsson was still claiming that cdmaOne wouldn't work, despite not long after that or maybe even then trying to negotiate a licence from Qualcomm.

Orbitel before that was part owned by Ericsson.

Brian H, thanks for the name of the guy. I'll get a round tuit, then send the idea of subscriber-bid networks to him.

Meanwhile, I heard that Spacecraft L1 and L2 were mated to the dispenser a couple of days ago. They should be brought to the pad on Jan 22 and launch on 2/5 @0822 EST.

Not long to go now. It seems that the dream might finally lift off.
