Most design houses like Amati, haven't a close clue to the effects of parasitic components created with the actual chip architecture. They can't see problems beyond their ideal world of schematics.

Thanks for walking me through the chip testing process. It's far more complex than I realized and your description helps explain why all the chip houses are behind schedule. Last July Debbie Salle, MOT's ADSL Director, told me CG would be out "soon." I guess chip-design years are more akin to glacial years than homosapien.

I think I'll ignore the market tomorrow. MMs and options expiration don't mix.
