Dear Scipio,

I am Dutch and currently studying physics. Although investing in general has interested me since I was a kid, I have never done anything to develop this interest in something (financially) fruitful until a couple years ago.
I know that many physicists with PhDs in advanced areas, like string theory, graduate and go straight to working on wall street. Amazingly, the very same science that describes so much in nature describes the behavior of stocks. Take the lognormal probability distribution of future asset values.

Welcome to SI. We look forward to your participation.

Regards,

@Dima

Since you are into value investing ... Take your time choosing the right SI forums as many are dominated by rather biased / their portfolio talking people but then again, that’s par for the course and always has been and not just on the internet :-)
