Bob,

What a wonderful post for us 'longs'. :) Thank you. Please don't apologize for adding value to our thread in the form of educated information. I am glad to hear from those in the 'field' using SUNW hardware.

I have one question.. How on EARTH do you pronounce Drzyzgula??

:)

Thanks for a great post. Addi has been telling us for some time that we will see NT deployed incresingly as mid-tier (I think that's the term) servers. Can I assume from your post that that is exactly what is happening at your place of employment?

You also seem skeptical regarding the deployment of NCs as an alternative to PCs. Would you mind expanding on that? Thanks again for so much helpful insight.

Pierre

Bob and All: RE: A little insight from the customer perspective

Wow! This is just what I've been wanting. Real users of Sun products (and competitors) need to add their experiences, desires, disappointments regarding Sun offerings.

Those of us who don't actually use hardware/software/solutions on this level NEED to hear this.

If any other lurkers are out there that can add the details of their particular situation, please post!

Thanks, Bob.
