I agree - potency offsets some of the smoke hazard though. The sheer volume of one cigarette is like several months of light toking. No - of course it isn't good for people but there are relatively low levels of lung cancer in pot smokers - and there is some risk. The methods of consumption are clearly a factor though. One trick is to never burn to ash and "cook" the weed. People don't smoke cigarettes through a bong. There are technological toys like "vaporizers" and what people get from those would barely fog the glass.

I read a report on the longest 20 year study on pot and lung effects. They said they saw very little upper respiratory decline with moderate use?

I don't smoke much these days as well, although my kid is always trying to get me stoned-lol?

LOL, sounds like some serious BS

apparently, from what i've read, marijuana smoke is not as harmful to lungs as tobacco but no way it can be beneficial

I used to smoke quite often, but haven't for quite a while... but if someone offered me a toke among a friendly group I would be happy to oblige, no problemo

My dad used to try and rationalize why he smoked Lucky Strikes non-filtered cigarettes... he said the filtered kind actually were more bad for you because the heat created a chemical reaction in the filters that were so much worse than non-filtered, LOL, I think he came up with that theory while after smoking a joint or two, it's quite creative........ but alas, he died of lung cancer
