>>>From AKLM 10-Q referring to delisting<<<

I think this deadline of delisting AKLM from the NMS applies only
to AKLM. the NMS gave AKLM the FEB deadline and does not apply to all stocks that are trading under $5.

"Upon such review, NASDAQ informed the Company that it has determined that the Common Stock remain listed on the NMS until February 1998, at which time the NASDAQ Stock Market's new maintenance criteria for securities listed on the NMS are anticipated to become effective. "

It looks like each company is reviewed and it is not an across the board, Your under $5 and you get automatically chopped. If that were
the case there would be a lot of paper work for companies and the NMS
for companies that routinely trade south and north of $5.

The big problem with AKLM is it has had negative Equity for a few years and traded under $5 for quite a while. So its chances of trading above $5 for a sustained period is quite remote. I think the recent
upgrades for AKLM are attempts of the MMs to unload big clients or their own holdings.

I don't think MPRS is in danger yet of being delisted of the NMS since
no review by the NMS has taken place yet. By Summer MPRS should hopefully be past $5 one way or another.
