I heard if you have hard water it will plug up the system with minerals over time, I seen people recommend soft water for it.

Read reviews. My hubby was a General Contractor for 35 yrs and wouldn't have one in his house.

Not a big fan. If you have a smaller house, they're ok, and even then you really need a gas tankless. The electric tankless heaters don't seem to work really well.
