Ryan probably wasn't newsworthy when a new fish. The only thing that made him different was being an Ayn Rand acolyte, like oh so many other (R) sociopaths. You don't get on MTP without an invitation. Ocasio-Cortez, being a democratic socialist, is newsworthy. She could have turned them down, but that would have been a stupid political move. I thought she did fine.
