It is not impossible to balance the budget. If you do the pareto analysis on our budget deficit, the top 3 issues are health care spending, social security, and the military. Those programs have to be brought into balance to solve the deficits. Taxes are a blip on the income statement compared to those 3 programs of horrifically large spending.

BTW, I'm assuming you understand what pareto analysis is. If not, then look it up, so we can avoid a lesson in six sigma concepts.
