There will still be 4 seasons. They'll just be warmer.

I've had some experience with reducing water volume in swimming pools. I always found it easiest to turn on the pump, open the valve to the waste line, and turn off the one which went to the filters and back to the pool.

Kind of like you taking buckets of water from the shallow end of the pool and dumping them in the deep end in your valiant quest to get it down to 2’ instead of 4’.

The Democrat "Pool Care for Dummies" says to take water by the bucket from the deep end and pour it into the shallow end. That way you can make the shallow end deeper for diving and it makes it easier to change the light bulb as the deep end gets lower. If you don't live in California you can use a gasoline pump/generator to faster results.
