This is only speculation,(because of my limited knowledge of how systems work)...Intel does not have much on their own with just a big processor for digital...and right now CUBE has about the best deal around with their ZIVA single chip, I think that Intel would like/need their name associated with Cable set tops in some way besides just a 300m processor...(just my opinion) and to be associated with Intel would be a huge plus for CUBE. If nothing else the publicity alone. oh ...one other thing, the home market is attracting quite alot of attention lately for a puter to run the appliances etc...could this be a part of it ?? There is alot of R&D money going somewhere..
