Al, why don't you just post Mideast here and see whether people can share some thoughts. I see no harm in it. If volume picks up too much, diluting the Asian bent of this board, the Mideast folks could just open their own thread and ppost over there. It's very easy to open a new thread on SI. You can do it yourself, just in case and put an ad for it here. In principle, I personally would welcome if we talk Asian matters here and other stuff elsewhere. But I do not own this thread, so let's see what the consensus on all of this is/will be. Meanwhile, I personally have no particular insights to offer besides the fact that I hear the news on the Mideast and it is rarely good news these days. So dump the first post and we see what will happen, kind greetings, Thomas
