In reviewing my positions that last couple of days, I also had determined that SFL was in bargain range, and would be added to next week when I have divvy funds coming in. SFL has had a position of varying size ever since it was spun off from FRO.

Does SFL have anything special to do with Ship Financing, or that's just it's name? I glanced at the Q2 results. SFL looks to me a lot like my shipper CPLP. Buy ships, charter them to shipping companies, pay out big dividends, wait three months to see what happens. CPLP has recently declined from it's normal area of $3.10 to $2.75, a big down move for them. No real idea why as they don't put out much news other than the quarterly results. Any idea why the shipping stocks appear to have tanked recently? CPLP pays 32 cents, so an 11% dividend. I think it's reasonable safe, but my knowledge of shipping is not terribly deep.
