Harry,

Do you know why the shorts do not believe that ATIS may not be able to capture a significant market share? Is it because they have doubts that S&N will be able to effectively bring the product to market, or because of questions with the product(Dermagraft)?

I agree with you that it's suprising that the price movement seems to be going with the brakes on, but I suspect it is not because of the product or the relationship with S&N; but rather just a matter of the current market environment. A year ago when the market was much lower, around 6000+, ATIS was up near 20 with news of poss FDA approval. Marshall mentioned a few posts back that it seems the market for ATIS is much more skeptical the second time around-not surprising. To me this means more realistic valuation of the stock, and possibly less price volatility. I would rather see a price increase with good news rather then sell on the news that seems to be the history with ATIS.

As for the shorts, I don't see why they would be scared at this point. I suspect that even after FDA approval, they still have time to cover even if the price reaches 15-18 and still get a good return going long.

Regardless, I think any of us that have been holding ATIS would be crazy to get cold feet now. Would love to hear more about your views on S&N.

Regards,
Bruce Long
