My new sweat pants arrive today. Was surprised at how reasonable they are priced...... amazon.com Replacing an old pair from R.E.I., which has been held together with safety pins for years.... could not find a replacement with the features I wanted. I spend about $5K/year on gear, but that includes stuff like vault poles. Apparel and footwear is probably 25% each, ASICS, New Balance and Nike. My duffel is Nike, as is any piece of apparel or gear from USATF. I've got a rather (very!) expensive running /light rain jacket from Nike, and I'd pay full price for a replacement, in a heartbeat, if I could find one. If I find items of equal quality and price, I'll go with Nike for the time being. CNBC said that their online sales were up 30% over the holiday weekend? I went to the Nike store at Amazon to start/limit my search.
