The source of the info is NASDAQ...

NASDAQ has changed its requirement (beeginning Feb 1) for listing from $1 to $2 million net assets and $5 minimum price, as well as some other criteria - go to the NASDAQ website for full details. Stocks like AKLM will probably move to the NAS small cap, others will bump to the OTC market.

For the most part its no big deal, although for some specific stocks it may cause some havoc - wheter or not that will be discernable in an already volatile market is dubious...
