Hi Christine, Toyota has now announced that they will be selling the Prius hybrid gas/electric in 1999, moving the date up from what they announced just a couple of months ago. I expect to see the U.S. manufacturers respond in kind. If they don't, they will be caught like they were in the 70's by the compact cars. Then they will be crying for import quotas or something. The days of the 15 mpg gas cars will end within 5 years. Stay away from Ballard for the car market. I see more hope for their home fuel cell power generators. Del
