Moneta Porcupine (ME-T) has received assays of up to 2.48 grams of gold per tonne over 25 metres from the SW-3d mineralized shoot at its Golden Highway project, 110 kilometres east of Timmins. The assays, from the final seven holes drilled on the South West deposit, encountered other mineralized shoots and veins. A second shoot averaged 2.05 grams per tonne across seven metres, while hits on the Arbutus, Larch, Maple, Yew and Walnut veins produced assays of up to 12.8 grams per tonne over 0.96 metre.

Mr. O'Connor, CEO and chief geologist -- rarely a great combination from a promotional perspective -- expressed his encouragement with the results, which extended and confirmed the size and grade of gold mineralization. Mr. O'Connor -- clearly wearing his geologist's cap -- says that the latest holes have continued to add to the known 17 vein structures and nine mineralized stockwork shoots and have located new mineralized veins. The company is planning a small drill program on the four new shoots to provide data to model all the structures ahead of a coming resource update. At last report, the company listed 31.1 million tonnes indicated at 1.09 grams per tonne and 83.3 million tonnes inferred at 1.2 grams per tonne, for a total of 4.3 million ounces.
