re <<I was thinking WTF??!?>> it was and remains a lighter moment in the cafe we are near lock-down moment as scmp.com mr mangkhut approaches, now mere 856 km away; it promises to be more ferocious than ms florence. in the past i experienced supposed ferocious typhoons that turned up to be mild rain and occasional sunshine. who can know? in any case, household has food stocked. garden flower pots shuffled behind sheltering wall. am curious about the cats. trust mama cat can guide the toddlers. erita particularly concerned about the girl toddler. jack is wondering whether TV and computers would go dark. in the mean time i am also wondering about the usa midterm election - like what happens if the house is lost by the republicans to the democrats, given the forces aligned against the donald, and with pence in the wing. all very dramatic. better than tv. all the bargains made and in the making. notice in this case i do not make any value adjudication, and am not saying events would improve or deteriorate if a happens vs b, etc etc, because i do not know what is better, and must deal with whatever whenever etc etc. am not brazilian :0) it is okay occasionally to admit "i dunno". the nice thing about the cafe going forward is no one would shout anything uncool, such as "you are an olive", or conjecture some complete and indubitable throwaway nonsense that be "history doesn't matter", or anything utterly moronic, that essentially be "anyone serious should go to another cafe" am also wondering about, "if i were to run a cafe, what would it look like". i have some ideas. it would sacrifice modernity for comfort and ambiance.
