It wasn't a leak in her place.

she was helping a friend clean out an old home that I think belonged to their deceased relative.

she spent days in the environment

to the best of my understanding there was no other complications physically that would have lead to an unrecoverable "infection."

Those of us who were closely involved with her illness concluded this from all medical evidence present at the time.

If there was anything else as a causing factor, I was not made aware.

I think there is excessive concern over mold, but I don't have the money to gut my house and don't have insurance, so my situation is what it is.

What I do acknowledge is that allergies today seem to be through the roof for people younger than me for whatever reason.

Peanut butter comes to mind and when I was a kid, it was unheard of being allergic to peanuts.
