I have looked at 2 year charts and that was my read. As for buying options you will have to play with numbers. One should know how long you will hold the option, what would be the stock price (hypothetically) on the day you close the transaction. Then calculate your profit using both options and I prefer the one with lower volatily and or higher delta.
