Hi Dwight,

Insider trading must be public information. I wonder where the sites that post the form 4s & 144s get the information? It must be fairly easy to access if a person knew where to look.

Regards,

Don

Off topic --- Asia update

Indonesia IMF plan: Suharto was supposed to pledge allegiance to the IMF plan but with an enormous list of unbelievably corrupt and expensive projects (new Indonesian export auto, new Indonesian export airplane, son's crazy banks, friends plywood exterprise which burned down half of Indonesia and created smog all over Asia this Summer) nobody beleived it. Without Suharto gone no one will beleive it. The rupiah went to hell. All the IMF and World Bank people were surprised. They thought the "confidence" problem was over. Chalk another one up for supporting dictators. Pay 80 billion dollars.

Hong Kong: What price parity to the dollar. Devaluation seems inievitable despite the nice face being put on stability. Various real estate companies going belly up.

Korea: Korean government balks at Morgan plan. It says it doesn't want to issue junk bonds to pay off all of the bad debt. Sensible. It wants lower interest rates on the loans and get this --- the right to repurchase the bonds. Great deal Morgan was offering itself!!! Take all our bad loans and pay us junk bond rates forever. Korean market fell tonight on the renewed uncertainty that the whole plan would ever come together.

Conclusion: More time bought but Humpy Dumpty took a great fall.
