Leslie Wexner, chief executive of Victoria's Secret parent L Brands Inc. LB, +0.03% has quit the Republican Party after a visit last week from former President Barack Obama, according to a report from the Columbus Dispatch. "I just decided I'm no longer a Republican," he said at a panel discussion. "I won't support this nonsense in the Republican Party." Wexner was the richest Republican donor, according to the Dispatch. Wexner now says he's an independent. Obama made a stop in Columbus before going to a rally to support Democrat Richard Cordray's campaign for governor. In late 2017, Wexner donated $300,000 to a bipartisan PAC, With Honor, that supports military vets who are running for office and pledge to conduct themselves with civility. His wife, Abigail Wexler, donated $2.5 million to the PAC in February. L Brands shares are down 52% for the year so far while the S&P 500 index SPX, -0.26% has gained 8.4% for the period.
