I am taking to hit and run, I have not seen his other book, those that have, felt cheated. From what I have heard, I couldn't recommend it.

How to start? You have to do more reading than you did in school. But first you have to know yourself. In hit and run he gives setups for 1-5 day trades in stocks >$40, and he buys in 1000 share lots, exits are not spelled out well, if at all. Will your mindset allow you to trade that way? But, you should be aware of the concepts.

Go to barnes and noble bookstore and spend a couple of hours after you decide who you are as a trader.

I was talking about the hit and run book not the 5 day momentum book. As for advertising thats what sells merchandise.

I think you can pick any method and just follow it religiously and you will do OK. I don't know what kind of trading you are interested but there are a few threads you may want to visit.
