Like I've stated before, I've visited AOL, worked with them,
and they are a very well run company. I would NOT in my right
mind short AOL.

Whenever I wonder that maybe we Fools ARE nuts for our faith in the Boys from Roy, I come across something that reaffirms the fact that we ARE indeed still way ahead of the curve.

This morning I was finishing up a creative job for a client, and had to go to the printer's website to get their production and file transfer specs.

The company, Modern Postcard near San Diego, is one of the country's premier printers of color postcards.

Here's an excerpt from their FAQ:

<< Can I Compress My Files So They Fit On Floppy Disks?

DO'NT use compression, as it tosses out some data and is not true to the original file.

If files are more than 3 MB, please submit them on a ZIP disk or Jaz disk.

Why Don't You Take SyQuest or Magneto Optical Disks?

We have not had good results with these disk types. When our customer's send us a disk, the last thing they want to hear is "We are unable to read your disk"! We have had excellent results using ZIP. It is very inexpensive and works well within our workflow. >>

Modern Postcard has hundreds, if not thousands of clients nationwide and worldwide.

They don't care if thier clients have a PC or a Mac. It doesn't matter if they use an Intel chip, a 3Com modem, an HP printer, or a Seagate harddrive

Nope, the only company that clients are forced to support is Iomega.
