"Lehman Brothers analyst Tim Luke said 1998 capital spending is expected to grow at about 10 percent,excluding AT&T Corp (NYSE:T - news). Including AT&T, which is expected to trim expenses under its new Chairman C. Michael Armstrong, capital spending will grow about six percent, Luke said.

''There's not a major slowdown in spending. It will still be up over the prior year, but the growth may not be as strong as it has been,'' Luke said.

Luke said ADC's stock was especially hard-hit on Thursday because some investors were concerned that ADC would not hit some over-optimistic revenue targets."

<Does see my point???>

***OT***

OK, I'm up, so I'll take it.

Tim, we all love ya. We love it when you're right. YOU love it when you're right. But there is another part of it, sometimes I'm wrong. Sometimes, people are wrong. Sometimes, my friend, sometimes you are wrong. So if ya just say, hey, you know, I was wrong...it's not the end of the world. really. You will not start bleeding if you are wrong under most circumstances.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, :o), but we are just a bunch of people thrown together by this technological marvel. 20 years ago, you and I would probably never have met; but now, here we are, engaging in social discourse about a stock called ASND. A good friend of mine once said, "Communication is the universal solvent." I really believe that it's true.

Everybody has their own mountain to climb. If you make it to the top, we share the view. If you kick rocks and one lands on somebody, ya just gotta fess up and see it was YOUR foot that was moving at the time.

You made a good call today!

God bless you, man. ASND rocks. Stay chilly.
