I havehad dreams like taht when I was younger. I remember my Nemesis were those little oval shutoff valves behind the toilet or sink. I remember this clear as day: I was two or thereabouts, and I'm reaching for the oval thingie behind the pooper. My mama gets me and says in solemn German that those are very dangerous. Well, that night and a few others later, I had this dream wherein I ill-advisedly touch one of the valves. Well, it grows. Soon it's turning on its own and growing until it breaks down the whole house. In one dream, it took over the Solar System before I woke up in a cold damp one. When I had to do my first bit of home plumbing, it took a real effort to touch that oval valve the first time.
