I've been using the crystal shaker bags from Home Depot and/or Menards for years as a perimeter around the house. I swear by them. If it's a real rainy season, I reapply in mid summer. (same with the Preen)

I don't know about other states, but I can tell you that in California, our deadliest spider (which is everywhere) is the Black Widow.

They cannot be killed even by bug spray for spiders. They take a special kind of treatment that I trust only a pest control company to handle around my home.

Otherwise, the way to kill them is to stomp on them, or smash, crush, or pulverize them, with the biggest rock you can find.

Then you try to get over feeling nauseous.
