Hey, MBA, I guess we just ment different things. I thought you expected selling BEFORE the trading day started. Also, I guess, we have different definitions. I think of "selling" as a "drop in price." I think it is more fare, because the is a SELL and a BUY in each trade. And, often (on OTC and NASDAQ) one of the sides in the trade is an MM (actualy, almost always). Given that the MMs are usualy smarter than the general public, I personaly like to see MM accumulating (short term), and the public selling (if I am long and want the price to go up eventualy). That is, before the news, I'd like to see trades go through at the bid, which to me would indicate that MMs are loading up.

I thought you expected some selling before the trading started due to the same reason I did. My reason: technical selling based on how the chart looks, plus small runup that pushed the bid above the recent ask, which almost always triggers some selling in penny stocks with no news.
