I don't know about the rest of the year, but Kessler is probably right on. As I said, no big contracts in the second quarter will to lead to no great earnings. However, we are already past 2nd quarter, this is the reason the stock is still at ten. If they would have got the contract earlier, we would be at 12. No one has even officially announced that we got anything yet!

I don't think we will see a downward reaction, because we already did? The street is always ahead of the earnings! Big contracts are still coming, 90 million yet to spend by the states! INS still there, nothings changes, just delayed. Later Amiegos!

As for Kessler's changing views of the future, he originally estimated EPS of .40 FYE June 98, then moved that estimate to FYE June 99, and now has lowered FYE 1999 to .33. This from the man who predicted that 1997 was going to be a breakout year for IDX.
I am long a bundle of shares on IDX but I caution those new to the board or to the stock to beware the RAH RAH RAHS. Not too long ago "The Commission" estimated EPS of 1.00 FYE June 1998. So far, we have .02 for the 1st quarter of 1997 and the five analysts reporting to First Call see anywhere from .02 to .06 for the second quarter to be announced in a week or so. We had better get a big INS order very, very soon to make some of the analysts' current estimates FYE June 1998.
The talk on the board about the frustration over still being around 10 (and perhaps being manipulated by the options), in my opinion, incorrectly assumes that the takeoff in IDX is nearer term than it really is.
Talk to me in a couple of years. However, make no mistake, I am not going away now. I have faith.

In a long term state of mind,
Hal
