If so, my read is that it's a decision made in Seoul. It may be a marriage made in heaven.....or in hell.

Approximately 2,200 local broadcasters are counting on Zenith to deliver the VSB tech products for them to upgrade to VSB transmissions and to deliver the necessary VSB receivers to their audience with the goal of regaining lost marketshare from the cable networks. Will PC users pay to see local DTV programming on their PCs? Who knows?

Embracing the PC industry versus the CE consumer and broadcasting industries is akin to endorsing Divx vs. DVD. There is no assurance than there is a meaningful demand for TV content by PC users and visa versa.

Appears that LGE/ZE has been co-opted by "Mitel". Got nothing against Intel purchasing millions of Zenith's VSB demodulator cards/paying royalties on the chips but hate to see Zenith lose the focus on leading the charge to work, as partners, with local broadcasters to bring HDTV to the American consumer.
