OFF TOPIC>....Hi Calvin...i haven't followed infoseek that closely..but it could go on the coatails of yahoo and xcite...not sure how the other search engines compare but i know xcite and yahoo are closing in on each other..xcite had great news yesterday...up 4....i would have to look at infoseek's chart to give a picture of the trend...when i watched xcite at 23...it was upward from there without looking back..there's a good chance that it will continue today without much profit taking...they got a strong buy on it and it's projected to be a $60-65 soon..closing in on yhoo...it's like comparing abc to cbs to nbc...there's not much difference that one should be worth more than twice as much as the other...I have this feeling that xcite might actually outperform yahoo ...I'll look at infoseek and let you know...sorry if we're discussing internet stocks on immd's thread...at least someone is getting use out of it <gg>...

P.s....look at checkfree too..there's a lot out there...i feel 1998 will be the year for the internet stocks despite asia...no one is really picking up on this on cnbc..but they will once they see how the internet stocks will beat the S&P's this year!..

OFF TOPIC>>>>>calvin...just looked at the chart on seek...looks bullish..don't know where you bot it at..it looks like it could be approaching it's 52 wk high of 14+..if infoseek is in the same category as xcit and yhoo...not just a search engine anymore..than yeah, it could go forward strong just because investors could look for other search engines that are doing the same and haven't moved up yet...it's chart looks good..
With xcite..they are getting revenues also from intuit..and other companies...and with the recent announcement will generate more revenues. Seek could be a good play..I'm going to watch it more carefully. You know you can go to yahoo or xcite and create your own portfolio...xcite has the best one..go to www.excite.com..it's free!..I montitor a basket of stocks and can see who is the strongest in the group when the market is down..it even has intraday charts too....it tells me a lot!
