Yes, they said they're raising rates... this is bullish for the markets because it shows increased confidence that the economy is heating up, businesses are booming, more spending, more buying, and therefore higher corporate earnings and higher stocks...

Changes in fed statement. In bold was taken out. Monetary policy no longer accommodative.

In view of realized and expected labor market conditions and inflation, the Committee decided to maintainraise the target range for the federal funds rate at 1-3/4 to 2 to 2-1/4 percent. The stance of monetary policy remains accommodative, thereby supporting strong labor market conditions and a sustained return to 2 percent inflation.
