I found what Adams Harkness is in contradict of CBS market watch report

3com Corp. traded marginally higher on optimistic
comments from its analyst meeting. The company said its
inventory problems are likely to be corrected by February.
3Com shares have fallen under pressure in recent months on
concerns its channel inventory had risen to undesirable
levels. 3Com shares ended the session up 3/4 at 33 1/2.

"Meanwhile, 3ComCOMS) CEO Eric Benhamou visited Fortune
Thursday and told us that its inventory problem
is nearly fixed and claims he's taking
customers away from Cisco.
Hmmm, if
battered COMS is really taking biz from
CSCO, that's NEWS. Finally, Ascend didn't
get bought by Lucent or anyone else
Thursday, and fell 1 1/4 to 28 15/16. Why is
everything in sixteenths today? "
