Gold must have reported really crappy earnings this quarter. I also hear gold is thinking of cutting its dividend once again.

Wait, what???? No earnings, no dividend, and you have to pay to own it? Sounds as if it's about as good an investment as a boat. Just so we all know, gold can't be an INVESTMENT. Yet it's widely touted by those who are bearish on the stock market, whining that PE's are too high, yada yada.

Gold can be viewed as a speculation, or a hedge, or whatever, but, IMHO, it can't really be viewed as an investment. That being said, I own a little
