BYG Natural Resources Inc is back on solid footing and preparing to reopen its Mt Nansen gold mine early next month, the company president Graham Dickson said Thursday.
Dickson said BYG now has its water treatment problem under control. The mine will begin discharging from its tailing pond next week and plans to restart milling in the first wek of Feb.
The $2 million the company owes to supliers will be paid by the middle of msrch Dickson promised.
Things are good, you know, Dicson said. We just have to get going again and show everyone we can make those gold bars. We made 157 last year.
Dickson said the with an expected staff cut to 64 from 100 the mine can produce godl at 150 USD an ounce, low enough to be unaffected by current low gold prices.
