Thanks Lanny Good idea about the macro. I assume you have a Spartan account for active traders. The balances being updated late IS a problem. You'd think they could pseudo-post the balance immediately if there are no extraordinary concerns (margin calls, splits etc). Their call centers are very good but I've had trouble recently with them misposting money that I wired in last friday to trade on Monday. Didn't get good funds until tuesday late so they gave me 2 free trades. Bought some more ASND MAR 30 calls. Positive earnings --> more analysts' upgrades ----> all that Jan effect money waiting on the sidelines and we've got a tsunami! Also heard an analyst on CNBC yesterday talk about how tech sector cycles 40 weeks trough to trough. If the tech 96 rally began mid-April 96 then we should be moving into the new up cycle . Let's hope history repeats again. Daniel
